A MAN who jumped out in front of a 65-year-old driver causing him to swerve wielded a knife at him and threatened his wife.
The victim was driving along London Road, which has a 40-mph speed limit, with his wife towards Stroud in a black Volvo when a man jumped out in front of his car by Brimscombe football club.
Veering to avoid him the 65-year-old stopped to confront the man who pulled a knife out and swept it across his body in the direction of the victim.
The offender then pointed the knife at the victim's wife when she stepped out of the car, threatening her verbally before making off towards Brimscombe Port.
Officers in Stroud are appealing for information about the incident which took place between 5.30pm and 5.45pm on Sunday, July 24.
The offender is described a white male, in his early 20s, 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build, clean shaven, with short dark hair to the neckline and cropped around the ears.
