THORNBURY Second XV maintained their unbeaten league record with an impressive 33-7 win over Bristol Saracens. Skipper Steve Allington scored two tries with other scores coming from Jack Civill-Williams, James Donohue and Joe Jackson, who also kicked four conversions.

Thornbury Third XV enjoyed a remarkable 70-14 win at Southmead. Twelve tries were scored with Connor Thurgood grabbing four. Ben Guzman scored a hat-trick whilst other tries came from skipper Richard Daniell, Stuart Murray, Tom Head, Ben Read and Neil Harris. Guzman converted four and Thurgood one.

On Sunday Thornbury Development XV defeated North Bristol Colts 31-19. Thornbury tries were scored by Tighe Shipton (2), Ben Liddington, Jake Goodridge, and Jake Wood.

Conversions came from Jake Wood and Ben Liddington with two.

This weekend, Thornbury First XV are at Newent whilst the Second XV are home to Frampton Cotterell and the Third XV travel to Coombe Dingle to take on St Brendan’s Old Boys. Each game kicks off at 3pm.

On Sunday, the Development XV also play at St Brendan’s Old Boys, kick off 1pm.
