A WELL-USED Cam community hub is set for a financial windfall after being chosen as a bank’s community partner for the next year.

The Dursley branch of TSB Bank has chosen GL11 Community Hub for its 2016/17 community partnership programme.

Through the partnership, money raised through a number of activities and events at the bank and by its staff will be donated to GL11.

The community hub has also been presented with an initial £1000 cheque by bank manager Mark Little.

Anita Wiltshire, GL11’s newly-appointed marketing officer accepted the cheque.

She said: “It’s a very exciting time for GL11, I’m thrilled to be part of the team during this period of growth.

“It is an honour to receive this cheque from TSB and to start to get a feel for the ongoing support for GL11 from our local community.”

Fundraising at the TSB will be ongoing with different initiatives throughout the year, starting with a sale of donated books from TSB customers at its Parsonage Street branch.

GL11 organises a wide range of courses, events and activities for people of all ages.
