A WEALTH of household names will be entertaining crowds at a shopping centre in Yate this Thursday as part of the wind up to Christmas.
Among the names performing at Yate Shopping Centre’s Christmas Musical Spectacular are multiplatinum selling groups Atomic Kitten and S Club as well as 80’s Eurovision sensations Black Lace.
Opening for the groups are Yate performers Jake Maddocks and Ben Lea, the latter a hairdresser in LA Barber, which is based in the shopping centre.
Starting at 5pm, the event will see Maddocks and Lea open for the crowds, with Black Lace, S Club and headline act Atomic Kitten performing in half hour slots from 5.30pm to 7pm.
The shopping centre will also be hosting families on Saturday, November 19 for a Christmas parade, with Santa Claus himself making a guest appearance.
The parade, which will go through the shopping centre twice at midday and 2pm, will feature ponies, penguins, reindeer, snow cats and even a camel to entertain the children.
Santa will be turning on the Christmas lights display at 4pm.
