THOUSANDS of shoppers descended on Chipping Sodbury High Street on Saturday for the town’s annual Victorian Day.
With plenty of fairground rides, shows, stalls and choirs took over the town, with many in the crowds donning festive and Victorian attire for the occasion.
Running all afternoon, the event celebrated its traditional visit from Father Christmas, who came down the street, waving to the crowds from his sleigh.
Many businesses on the High Street and Broad Street also joined in on the fun, decorating their front windows in the theme of famous Christmas films, with children encouraged through a competition to find and identify as many as possible.
