OVER 1,000 Christmas trees arrived at a garden centre in Whitminster, ready for the most popular weekend of the year.
Highfield Garden World welcomed their mass tree delivery from Scotland in preparation for their most popular weekend, which will feature a Santa’s grotto and a special Christmas menu in the restaurant.
Staff were in festive spirits as they arranged the different sizes and varieties around the store in Bristol Road – accompanied by Father Christmas himself among the firs.
Planteria Manager, Jon Mason, said: “We like to cater for all tastes, so the range is huge.
“We’ve noticed that customers often ask for slimmer trees these days, or ask us to clip and shape the tree they’ve chosen to fit more easily into the room where they want to display it.
“Something else we’ve noticed is more people have multiple trees, not everyone wants just one big tree in the sitting room, increasingly people like to have a tree sparkling outside in the garden too.”
Highfield will also be continuing their usual Christmas tree recycling service in the New Year.
