PLANS for a 31-home development in Tytherington are set to go on display to the public next week.

Proposals for the development near Duck Street, which is yet to be submitted, outline a number of affordable homes and house types with a range of dwelling sizes, including bungalows.

The developer Cotswold Homes says that they are “convinced that this non-greenbelt site represents an opportunity to assist South Gloucestershire Council in meeting local housing needs,” adding that the plans “have been designed with particular care and attention given to the neighbouring properties”

An exhibition hosted by the developer is set to take place at Tytherington Village Hall on Wednesday, January 18 from 2.30pm, with residents being encouraged to view the plans and comment on the proposals for the site.

Representatives from Cotswold Homes will also be on hand to answer questions.

A spokesperson for Cotswold Homes said: “As a locally based developer we want to hear from the local community before we finalise our plans for the development of this non-greenbelt site.

“We will be displaying our plans and ideas at a public exhibition where our project team will be on hand to answer questions and listen to feedback on what we have done so far.

“Our proposal provides an important opportunity to deliver a sensitive residential development that will significantly improve the housing choice in the local area. We are keen to speak to residents to ensure that we can incorporate views as far as possible that secure local benefits and improvements for the area.”
