A NEW nursery has opened its doors to families in Thornbury – and there are still places available.

Happy Days nursery, which opened on Cooper Road on Monday, January 9, has successfully filled 15% of its places within just three weeks of opening, and is still welcoming families with open arms.

The new nursery follows the opening of the two other Happy Days nurseries in Bristol’s Cheswick Village and Bradley Stoke.

Since its formation in 1991, Happy Days has established 17 day nurseries in the South West, all of which are rated either “outstanding” or “good” by the industry’s governing body, Ofsted.

At the new site, a team of seven nurses, a chef and an administrator are being led by nursery manager, Samantha Barnard, who aims to deliver the “cutting edge and high quality care that Happy Days has become renowned for.”

She said: “There’s a great team here of highly qualified staff and we are all working really well together to ensure the best outcomes for children in our care.”

“Parents need to be confident that their children are being left with staff who can provide the best sorts of stimulation to their little ones.”

“That’s what we provide here at Happy Days and it’s great to be involved in such a success story.”

Stephanie Hearn, Operational Lead, said: “We’re all really pleased with the busy start we’ve had here at Thornbury. The reception to Happy Days has been really positive and we look forward to becoming an integral part of the community.”
