FIREFIGHTERS raced to a home in Yate after an electrical fire broke out in the early hours of this morning.
A crew from Yate Fire Station responded to the call at 1.12am, arriving at the home on Cherington, to find a fire in an external electrical box.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire using a carbon dioxide extinguisher, before handing over to representatives of Western Power Distribution.
The homeowners were offered home safety advice by the crew, with leaflets also being given to neighbouring properties.
