TRADESMEN and DIY enthusiasts are being invited to the grand opening of hardware and tools retailer Screwfix’s new South Gloucestershire store later this month.
The new store on Station Road in Filton is set to open on Thursday, February 23, and will create 16 new jobs on the community.
Opening hours will be Monday to Friday, from 7am to 8pm, Saturday 7am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
Nic Blake, the store’s manager said: “Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service. Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening.
“My team and I have already been out and about getting to know local businesses and tradesmen and we’ve been really pleased with how supportive everybody has been.”
At the grand opening, visitors are being encouraged to demonstrate their football skills in a free-to-enter competition, with the winner taking home a 40in smart TV.
A 10 per cent discount will also run from the opening until Sunday, February 26, with a number of product demonstrations taking place.
