TODAY we’re re-launching the Gazette with a new look, new features and a new focus on giving our readers more of what you want.
It has been a period of change at the Gazette, with new faces arriving and our reporters now based out of the office, on the patches they cover, most of the time.
As we have a small team and cover such a large geographical area – Yate and Chipping Sodbury, Thornbury, Wotton, Berkeley, Cam, Dursley and the surrounding villages – it is a constant challenge to keep on top of all of the news and include every story in the packed pages of our newspaper.
However, our message to our readers is that if something happens in your area or you want to see a certain issue covered, let us know. We have a passionate team who will be happy to help.
And that doesn’t just mean breaking news, we also take great pride in covering community events such as school activities, 100th birthdays and charity fundraisers – after all, these are the stories that put a smile on people’s faces, and we love championing the areas we serve.
Among the changes you’ll see in the Gazette this week are new page designs, a dedicated business news page and the return of our controversial Pub Spy, and there is more to come in the weeks ahead including the launch of a Gloucestershire Camera Club which will highlight the talented photographers in the area by showcasing their pictures.
