CHILDREN in Thornbury are being given the chance to win Easter eggs as part of a special treasure hunt for this year’s Fairtrade Fortnight.

To take part, children – and adults if they wish – have to find as many different Fairtrade products on sale around the town.

Forms for the competition, which can be collected and returned to either the Town Hall or Oxfam, list the many shops in the town where Fairtrade items are sold, with those taking part having to mark down the more common and uncommon items they can find.

Those who find the most products will win an Easter egg, with the rest of the forms going into a special draw, with everyone having the chance to in a prize.

Fairtrade Fortnight runs between Saturday, February 25 and Saturday, March 11.

Among the other events taking place around the town, a Fairtrade coffee producer from Nicaragua, will be visiting the town to talk about how the scheme has changed her life.
