POLICE have appealed to the public for information after vandals attacked allotments in Thornbury over the weekend.
About eight plots on Daggs Allotments in Thornbury were ransacked overnight between Friday and Saturday, with extensive damage caused, including sheds being smashed or tipped over, trampled pitches and smashed locks and windows.
Equipment, believed to be from the sheds, were also found scattered around the site.
Reports of noise were made by residents at around 2.40am on Saturday, with further calls made after the damage was discovered at around 9.30am.
Officers have begun reviewing CCTV and CSI teams have also examined the scene.
Thornbury beat manager PC Sean White said that there were no suspects at the moment, but it was believed that the culprits were local.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation are asked to call 101 immediately.
