PHOENIX Dance Band, one of the best-known ceilidh bands in the country, are playing at a charity barn dance in aid of Stroud Food Bank at Marling School Hall in Stroud on Friday, April 7 starting at 8pm.
Three members of the band, Rod Stradling, Fran Wade and Kevin Bown all live in Stroud whilst the two other members Steve Harrison and Mike Pinder will travel down from Yorkshire.
The band, which regularly performs at all the top ceilidh and festival events in the country will be giving their services for free in order to raise money for the local food bank. The caller who will explain all the dances is Derek Kingcott .
Tickets cost £12 and are available on the night or in advance from strouddistrict.foodbank.org.uk
