A ROAD in Nympsfield will be closed for a week from today to allow for “emergency road repairs” after its condition “suddenly deteriorated due to recent weather”.
Bath Road through the village will be closed until Thursday (March 30) whilst work to improve the road is undertaken.

Explaining the reason for the work, Cllr Vernon Smith, cabinet member for highways and flood at Gloucestershire County Council said: “The road surface along a section of Bath Road, Nympsfield, has suddenly deteriorated due to recent weather.
“We’re acting swiftly to make safety repairs, including resurfacing, which will help keep this road in good condition.
We apologise for any inconvenience in the short term while repairs are carried out.”
