ELEVEN DODS members represented the society at the recent NODA regional awards.

The society was nominated in three categories (Best Musical for Sister Act, Best Panto for Cinderella and Best Play for Twelfth Night).

Unfortunately we weren’t successful but it was still a very enjoyable evening attended by over 350 NODA society members from across the south west.

Tickets are on sale for our next production, Guys and Dolls, from May 1-6 and are available at www.the-dods.com or by calling 07890 203318.

Front of house volunteers wanted please for the week of the show – contact Jean if you are able to help.

Performance times are 4pm on Monday 1st, then 7.30pm Tuesday to Saturday, with a matinee on Saturday 6th as well at 2.30pm.

We are pleased to be in a position to confirm plans for the 2017/18 season: our autumn play will be William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Craig Hewlett (October 11-14).

This will be followed by The Wizard of Oz, directed by Emma Hitchings between January 20-27 2018.

Our spring musical next year will be Monty Python’s Spamalot, directed by Sue Cheshire followed by a Junior DODS production/revue in July next year.

Tickets are now on sale for the society’s annual dinner dance and awards evening on Saturday, May 20 at 7pm in Kingshill House, with dancing to Angel Up Front.

Tickets are £25 and members who are interested please email Mike at mike@the-dods.com with your menu choices that are set out on the members’ facebook page and in the recent newsletter.
