THORNBURY’S signature drink, 6 O’Clock Gin, is set to hit the road as part of an exciting new event this summer.

The award winning London Dry Gin, made by Bramley and Gage at their distillery in Thornbury, will be taking part in a unique “bus series” around Bristol run by experimental ‘foodie and boozie’ events business Foozie.

The open top 6 O’Clock Gin Bus, which will be touring the city on Saturday, June 3, will be the second feature on the 2017 Bus Series, with the return of the popular Sushi Bus out first, doing the rounds on May 6, and a ‘Bubble Decker’ Prosecco Bus finishing the series on Saturday, July 1.

Pete Axford from Bramley and Gage said: "We're delighted to be collaborating with Foozie on Bristol’s first ever Gin Bus.

“6 O’clock Gin is ideal for sipping in the summer time, whether you’re into G&T’s or cocktails, and we’ll be creating four delicious drinks for passengers to enjoy as they see the sights of Bristol.”

The series comes follows last summer’s successful Sushi Bus event that saw over 100 people take an alternative open-top tour of the city, while enjoying the dish.

Foozie’s founder Thom Whitchurch said: “We had so much fun on The Sushi Bus last year so we decided to add a boozie element to our 2017 series. We’re so excited to be teaming up with 6 O’clock Gin for Bristol’s first ever Gin Bus.

“We’re huge fans of their gin and love that they make their own tonic and liqueurs. They’re the perfect partner for this event.

“Sushi Kai, who created the sushi menu last year is going all-in again this year, so we’re really excited to have them on board again, and ‘The Bubble Decker’ might just be the best event name we’ve ever had, so we can’t wait to see that draped over the bus and cruising around Bristol.

“We’ve got really cool surprises for each event as well, so they’ll be a lot of fun.”
