STAFF at a live-in care agency in Nailsworth have donated £500 to the Alzheimer’s Society.

This donation from Corinium Care came after clients were asked in a survey which charity they would like they agency to donate to in lieu of receiving a Christmas card.

The Alzheimer’s Society was a very popular choice, receiving 44 per cent of the total votes.

Managing director Clare Janik said: “With dementia on the increase, the Alzheimer’s Society is very much a charity close to the hearts of our clients and their families.

“The donation marks the third time that Corinium Care has supported the charity through different events.”

“It is a pleasure to continually support such a worthy cause that does such great work for the community.”

From climbing Ben Nevis by moonlight, to a 10km Memory Walk, the agency staff are no strangers to charity fundraising and have donated almost £1500 since 2014.

Clare said Alzheimer’s Society representative Lee Hawthorne collected the cheque from the Corinium Care HQ in Nailsworth.

He thanked the company for the ongoing support, which helps the charity to fund new research and provides much needed support to families who may have been affected by dementia.

The award-winning agency provides looks after frail and elderly people across the country who need care and companionship to stay safely in their own home.
