TWO men have been charged in connection with assaulting shopkeeper Amo Singh and a 15-year-old boy in Cashes Green, Stroud, at the end of March.

Jonathan French-Bell, of Victoria Drive, Eastington, Stonehouse and Stephen Randlesome, 27 of Victoria Drive in Eastington, Stonehouse were arrested on Saturday in Porthcawl.

They were both charged yesterday with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to Mr Singh, 33, and causing actual bodily harm to a 15-year-old Polish boy outside Mr Singh's shop Premier Stores.

The charges relate to an incident in Queens Drive, Cashes Green on Sunday, March 26.

Both were remanded to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court later today, Monday.

A 21-year-old man from Dursley arrested yesterday in connection with the incident remains in police custody today.

CCTV footage of the attack shocked the community.

Mr Singh suffered a head wound which required stitches, bruises all over his body, and needed two metal plates inserted in a broken wrist.

He was hit by a car and attacked with a baseball bat and a crowbar.
