AN ANNUAL book fair is set to return to Easter Compton for the twelfth consecutive year later this month.

The South West Observer’s Book Fair, which is set to take place on Saturday, April 22, will see book collectors from across the country gather for the event.

As well as thousands of the well-known Observer’s pocket series books, there will be many other collectable series on show including; the popular and beautifully illustrated Ladybird books, natural history publications Wayside and Woodland and New Naturalist, Collins Nutshells and Gems, and books on transport.

The array of children’s books include Beatrix Potter, which like the Observer’s was published by Frederick Warne.

There are more table bookings than ever before, with sellers coming from as far as Bridport, Leeds, London and Glasgow for the event.

Nearby residents are also encouraged to join in with the travelling collectors, with plenty of opportunities to find out more and even bring their own books along to get some free advice and a valuation.

Taking place at Easter Compton Village Hall, the fair opens at 10am, closing shortly after midday.
