It’s all ‘four’ homebuyers in Thornbury

NEWLAND Homes will be showing house hunters just how much they could get with a Newland home next weekend (April 22) at their four bedroom home open day at their Whitebridge Gardens development.

Buyers on the weekend will also be given four more reasons to find out why four bedrooms could be the home for them with stamp duty, upgrades, flooring and a contribution to legal fees also on offer.

Whitebridge Gardens is a selection of 23 exclusively open-market homes within walking distance of all the convenience and amenities of Thornbury town centre.

With three different four-bedroom home designs to choose from, it is an ideal place for homebuyers looking for a home to be able to give them much-needed extra space, or just to be able to grow into.

The Hampton is a detached home with large galleried master bedroom with ensuite and walk-in wardrobe. The Prestbury has an exceptional farmhouse kitchen with useful utility room and the Thornbury has an L-shaped living and dining room perfect for entertaining.

Thornbury has proved to be a very popular location for house hunters looking to make the most of their money and also have great amenities close by together with easy access into Bristol.

For recent Newland Homes homebuyers Olly Priest and Kitty Taylor, a four bedroom property in Thornbury was the ideal location for their new home together.

Having lived in Bristol’s vibrant Bishopston area for a number of years, they wanted somewhere that would still give them great places to eat and drink on their doorstep, but also provide them with easy access to the countryside and a real community feel. Also, with both of them working in North Bristol, they needed to stay within easy commuting distance to the city.

Olly said: “Both Kitty and I grew up in Bristol and that’s where our family are, but we wanted to somewhere more with a community feel but not too far from the city. We looked at houses in lots of places but decided that Thornbury would suit us best as it is a really nice market town with decent bars and restaurants, local shops, good schools, and leisure centre, and the countryside is very close by too. As we’re getting older it suits our lifestyle more and it’s somewhere we can easily see ourselves staying for the next 15 or 20 years.

“Everything we need is in Thornbury; if we had chosen a property in a smaller town or village we would still need to head back into Bristol for everything, which we didn’t want to have to do. Plus it only takes us 25 minutes to get into the city at any time too, which is great.”

Olly and Kitty chose a four bedroom home at Newland Homes’ nearby ‘Castle Court’ development in Thornbury.

“We’re really pleased with the house – it’s really lovely. We love the open plan kitchen and sash windows and the way it has been designed to be very sympathetic to the area. It’s a new house with all the benefits of a new home but with character too.

“The location was very important to us. There’s a really nice sense of community here and we’ve spoken to our neighbours more in the last two months than we ever did in two years in Bristol.

“We’ve got a lot more for our money in Thornbury than we would have in Bristol. Although moving from two one-bedroom flats to a four-bedroom home has meant that we’ve had to buy lots of new furniture! Our friends often come to visit and they really like the house and area too.

“Buying a Newland Home was a good decision and the process was really easy. We also visited Whitebridge Gardens, which is a lovely development, to choose our kitchen and other features - there was a nice selection available and Kitty and I agreed on most things!”
