A BOWLING club from Olveston have been presented with a generous donation of flowers and cash by a garden centre in Almondsbury.
Members of Olveston and District Bowling Club visited Almondsbury Garden Centre for the presentation of the flowers to decorate its grounds, as well as a cheque for £250.
This is the third successive season that the centre has offered its support to the club, who celebrated the opening of its new £142,000 clubhouse in July last year.
"Over the years, we have built up a close relationship with the club and its members" said marketing manager Richard Truscott.
"The care and attention our donation gets, makes it all worthwhile.
“When you see the displays during the summer months, they certainly compliment the beautiful surrounding that the club has developed at Olveston".
"A small team of our members have volunteered to be our flower carers this season" said club chairman Graham Ellis.
"Once again I would like to thank Almondsbury Garden Centre for supporting us and helping us in providing an excellent bowling facility for our members and guests."
