THREE men have been arrested after they attacked a cashpoint in Yate in the early hours of this morning.
At around 1.25am, police were alerted to an attack on an ATM at the One Stop store on Wellington Road by a member of the public.
The offenders used blunt instruments to attack the cashpoint, although police do not believe that they managed to take any money.
A car was then stopped by officers in Hotwells Bristol, and three men - aged 28, 26 and 20 - were arrested in conjunction with the incident.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.
Call Investigations on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5217107865.
