AN investigation into the cause of the fire at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway is currently underway - and police are urging witnesses to come forward.
An evacuation took place at the shopping centre after a ground floor toilet caught fire under "suspicious" circumstances at around 9.30pm on Saturday evening.
Fire services tackled the blaze, which caused extensive damage to a women's toilet located near on the ground floor near Marks and Spencers.
The area around the toilets was cordoned off following the incident.
Police officers are now seeking anyone who was in the area at the time of the fire to come forward.
They are particularly keen to speak to a woman who raised the alarm with centre security, who they believe may have valuable information to help their enquiries.
If you are able to help, call 101, quoting reference 5217107119.
