NO further action will be taken against beloved Stroud busker Clover after an allegation of sexual assault.
In a statement Gloucestershire police said: "The CPS has reviewed the case and no further action will be taken against him."
There will also not be any further action against a 19-year-old Stroud man who was alleged to have assaulted Clover, 59, whose real name is Clive Bushell.
Speaking to the SNJ at the time he said he was lucky to be alive after an assault in August but said he was willing to forgive his attacker.
Clover, from Thrupp, was on his way home from The Lord John pub when he said he was confronted by a man in London Road near Waitrose.
He said he was slapped, punched, and hit until knocked unconscious.
Clover was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for a brain scan but the keyboard player was soon back on Stroud High Street entertaining shoppers.
