ORGANISERS behind the Yate Rocks in the Park festival have announced new additions to their line-up.

These include a wipe out inflatable ride for both adults and children, as well as choirs from Raysfield School and Sounds Delighted.

The popular two-day event is celebrating its 12th year in action this summer, and kicks off on Saturday, June 24 at 12pm.

A range of local music acts are set to perform on the Saturday, including: Toby, Tail Lights, Uncle Buck, Limited Edition, Elevation, Atlantic, Fire Blisters, and the Yate Rock Choir.

Dance displays will also be on offer from GKR, Kathryn Hurley Dance Academy, Redds, Street Cred and Pure dance groups, while a variety of rides will be available for children and parents alike.

Yate Fire Brigade will be displaying one of their fire engines on the day, and visitors will also be able to browse a wide variety of arts and craft stalls and food and beverage units. On Sunday (June 25), a morning service will be held by local churches from 10.30am through to 12noon.

The afternoon will see a relaxed Picnic in the Park taking place between 1.30pm and 3.30pm with several performances from the Westerly Showband, Raysfield School Choir and Sounds Delighted Ladies Choir.
