ON Wednesday, May 17 Brigette Manton gave a demonstration entitled ‘making do’.
Brigette comes from Worcester and is Chairman of Bromyard Flower Club.
Her first arrangement was displayed in a tin bucket with willow attached. Her chosen flowers were blue Larkspur, white Roses and manipulated Aspidistra leaves.
Another or Brigette’s arrangements was put together using a selection of colourful flowers displayed on a chair.
Brigette likes using builders foam which she uses to make some of her accessories.
One of her arrangements was a hat which was displayed on a figurine which she had made using the foam.
With this she included a handbag and a pair of shoes as her accessories.
Brigette is very talented and recently won a second and third prize at the Malvern Show.
On June 21 members and friends will celebrate our anniversary ‘60 glorious years’ with afternoon tea at Eastwood Park from 1.30pm for a 2pm start.
Another celebration day will be our members day which will be held on July 19.
