RESIDENTS in Thornbury are being encouraged to have their say on a possible major revamp to a popular children’s play area.

The proposed improvements to the Streamleaze play area are the first in a series as Thornbury Town Council look to improve and upgrade all play areas in the town over the next few years.

Refurbishing the site will cost in the region of £20,000, which will be funded by the council and contributions from a nearby housing development.

A council spokeswoman said: “This play area is very well used and the proposals will greatly enhance the area.

We are currently consulting on replacing the play tower as well as adding a ground trampoline and several other pieces of toddler equipment and are seeking the views of local residents.”
