A MAN has been arrested following a robbery at BP garage in Stroud and released for further investigations.
At approximately 3am on Saturday, June 3 two males entered the garage on London Road and threatened a member of staff.
A 37-year-old man from Stroud was arrested on Wednesday, June 7 and has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
During the incident money was taken from the till after the cashier was hit with what is believed to have been a hammer.
The male victim sustained injuries to his hand and head and was released from hospital later that morning.
Police are still appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 and quote incident number 70 of Saturday, June 3.
