A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after suffering 'life-changing' injuries following a multi-vehicle crash near Bisley.
The incident occurred at 5.45pm between Calf Way and Southmead Lane near to the Greenshop.
Traffic officers have closed Calf Way both ways and are still on the scene (as of 8.30pm) while they conduct a full investigation and continue to interview eyewitnesses.
The incident involved two cars and the male driver of one vehicle was airlifted by a Great Western Ambulance Service helicopter to Southmead Hospital.
A police force control room officer told the SNJ: "He suffered arm injuries which while not life-threatening are life-changing."
The condition of the other people involved in the collision is not yet known.
Eyewitnesses informed Gloucestershire Live that a car had overturned coming out of the Greenshop/Murco garage.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue said: “Two cars were involved in an accident and an adult male was trapped.
“Fire was called by ambulance and two appliances were deployed to the scene.”
