Candidates for upcoming Wotton Town Council election published
THE list of candidates for the two vacant seats on Wotton Town Council has been published.
Following the resignation of Alastair Kendall due to work commitments, and Andra Proctor due to health reasons two seats were left vacant in the Wotton-under-Edge Ward and the South Ward.
The South Ward was uncontested, with Jonathan Turner now elected a Wotton town councillor without a vote.
Three candidates will contest the Wotton-under-Edge ward, Richard Hale, Alex King and Derek Thomas.
The poll will take place on Wednesday, July 26 between 7am and 10pm.
Polling stations for this ward are in the Chipping Clubroom and at the British School.
