DOCTORS’ surgeries in the south of Gloucestershire have all performed better than the county average in a patient survey.

Coming out with the best overall approval rating by patients in the county in the annual survey is Rendcomb Surgery near Cirencester with 100 per cent saying their experience of the surgery is ‘good’, toppling last year’s best, Frampton-on-Severn’s Frampton Surgery, which came in joint second with 98 per cent this year – a one per cent fall.

The results of the GP Patient Survey are published every year outlining patient experience at practices across the country.

This year’s average ‘good’ rating for surgeries in the county is 89 per cent with more than 90 per cent of patients at surgeries in the Gazette area saying they have had good overall experiences.

Joining Frampton Surgery in joint second place in the county in this year’s survey is the Walnut Tree Practice in Dursley – a 35-place jump from its position last year.

Chipping Surgery in Wotton-under-Edge fell from third highest last year to be ranked in joint 26th position with 93 per cent of patients rating their experience as ‘good’ this year.

Cam and Uley Family Practice and Culverhay Surgery in Wotton-under-Edge were rated joint 37th, both falling from 96 per cent to 92 per cent.

Acorn Practice in Dursley and Marybrook Medical Centre in Berkeley both saw patient experience improve from last year’s survey to be ranked in joint 43rd.

The lowest rated GP practice in the county is Rosebank Health in Quedgeley.
