We shall have a stall at the Oakridge Fete on Saturday, September 2, a list was circulated for members willing to make jams, pickles, marmalades, etc, and also we shall have a Scarf Tree, so gifts of scarves were requested.

We were saddened to learn of the death of Frances Pyecroft, widow of the late Eric Pyecroft who was vicar of the joint Benefice.

Frances was a stalwart member of the WI several of us remember her with fondness.

The Speaker for the evening was Liz who gave us an illustrated tour of the Woodchester Mansion, and told us the fascinating history of this beautiful building, which served to whet our appetite for the forthcoming visit.
