Used vehicle checker mycarcheck.com has published key data on its three most searched for models in the first half of 2017.
The company uses information from the police, DVLA, insurers and finance houses, to hold comprehensive data on every vehicle on UK roads. It allows buyers to check their vehicle before they buy to confirm that it has a clear history.
The top three most searched for models are in the first six months on 2017 are the Ford Fiesta Zetec, the Mini Cooper and the VW Golf GTI. It shows that buyers continue to like the fantastic value for money that is the Fiesta Zetec.
Mark Bailey, Head of CDL Vehicle Information Systems, which owns mycarcheck.com, said: “Ford Fiesta Zetec retained its title as our most searched model, followed, as in 2016, by the Mini Cooper. VW’s Golf GTI nudged the Vauxhall Corsa SXI down to fourth to reclaim the third place it held in 2015.”
He goes on to warn: “Second hand car buyers should note that serious warnings have risen again, to 30.8% of all checks in the first six months of 2017. The top 20 makes averages are now 18.15% for write off, 10.12% for outstanding finance and 0.89% for stolen.”
