HUNDREDS of people are expected to pound the streets of Yate and Sodbury next month in a three mile sponsored evening walk to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Yate Relay for Life's 'Glowalk' event, where participants are encouraged to wear bright clothing and hold torches and glow sticks, takes place on Saturday, October 21.
Beverley Sadier, one of the event's organisers said: "With everyone wandering around the track in their onesies throughout the night, as though it’s the most normal thing in the world, there’s nothing else like it.
"We have some people coming down and just walking a few laps, and others that walk double marathons. We have wheelchair users, buggies, kids, pensioners, basically everyone can take part."
The walk starts at 7pm from Yate Shopping Centre, with registration taking place in the main square at 6.30pm.
Registration costs £15 per person.
