DURSLEY Methodist Church is the venue for a return concert to be given by the Blackheath Piano Quartet on Saturday, October 7 at 5pm.

The quartet comprises a violin, viola, cello and piano. The musicians all live around the Greenwich area in London and met through being members of the Blackheath Symphony Orchestra.

They wanted to further develop chamber music in Blackheath so formed this quartet. They will be performing Piano Quartet in E flat major, Opus 16, Beethoven and Piano Quartet in E flat major, Opus 87, Dvorak.

The pianist was a member of Dursley Methodist Church until moving to London, but is still one of a team of deputy organists at the church, thus we have this connection with the quartet.

  • Tickets available now at Durcan hardware in Dursley or can be obtained on the door prior to the concert. £10 and include canapés and a soft drink during the interval. Accompanied young people are free of charge.
