THE search for a missing Yate woman is now into its third day.

Erin Gowing-Wood left her home in Shire Way for college in Bristol city centre on Tuesday morning (September 19) and has not been seen by her family since.

The last known sighting of her was outside the Gala Bingo in Fishponds at 9.45am.

Erin was on her way to the Reflections Training Academy in Colston Street, but she never arrived.

Now Erin's mother, Lisa, has released more photographs of her daughter, in the hope that the different views of her will jog someone's memory.

Her dad, Darren Wood, said it was out of character for her not to be in touch with her family.

“Erin is very sensible, but she is perhaps not the most streetwise person,” he said.

“The police have been checking all the CCTV, but haven’t come up with anything so far.

"They are just trying to do the best they can. They're trying every line of enquiry that they get.

“We went out canvassing in Bristol on Wednesday and Thursday night, and have put posters up in most of the shops between her college and the bus station in Bristol city centre.

"We're upset and tired, and we just don't know what to do next," he said.

"Hopefully these extra pictures will jog someone's memory."

Erin is 5ft 5ins with ‘burnt orange’ hair. When last seen she was wearing a short black leather coat and carrying a handbag.

“If anyone sees her please just make sure she’s safe and let us or the police know. If she feels she can’t come home that’s fine, we just want to know that she’s ok,” said Mr Wood.

Erin has also been reported as missing to Avon and Somerset Police.

Anyone with information about Erin’s whereabouts should call Darren on 07984099900.
