A CAR that was deliberately set alight in Yate in the early hours of this morning, spread to nearby fences as firefighters raced to put it out.
One crew from Yate Fire Station was dispatched at 12.04am to Prestbury in Yate, arriving to find the Vauxhall car well alight, with the fire also causing damage to nearby fence panels.
Firefighters used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the flames.
A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said that it is believed the fire was started deliberately.
