A woman from Dursley escaped without injuries in a fatal collision near Westbury-on-Severn yesterday.
The rider of a black motorcycle, a 28-year-old man, was killed after colliding with a horsebox being driven by the 54-year-old Dursley woman.
Despite the efforts of members of the public, paramedics and the air ambulance, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Police were called to the scene at 12.14pm yesterday following reports of a serious collision on the A48 between Newnham and Minsterworth near Westbury-on-Severn.
Police would like to hear from any witnesses who have not yet come forward.
