CHIPPING Sodbury Music Society continues celebrating its 70th anniversary season on Tuesday, October 10, with a gala concert by the Amadeus Orchestra.
The society's members have enjoyed the orchestra's performances over many years, having first brought them to the Parish Church of St John the Baptist, Wickwar Road, for a concert in July 2008.
Members also travelled to Wells Cathedral in 2010, 2011 and 2012 to listen to the ensemble.
So it only seemed fitting that the orchestra should make a return visit to mark this special occasion.
The evening's repertoire includes Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A, K 622, played by Claire King, plus two works by Handel – the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba and Water Music.
All are welcome to attend the concert.
Tickets are available from the box office on 01454 315741 or via ticketsource.co.uk/csmusicsociety. Doors open at 7pm.
