FIREWORKS in the centre of Dursley next month will benefit young carers in the county.
The town’s main Guy Fawkes Night event will again be organised by Girlguiding Dursley District.
Taking place from 5pm at Saturday, November 4 at the War Memorial Recreation Ground, the event will benefit Gloucestershire Young Carers after it was selected by organisers as its chosen charity.
Last year more than £8,000 was raised the night’s chosen charity and other organisations and it is hoped that that figure will be larger this year.
Two ten-minute fireworks displays will be the main attractions of the event with various stalls available and the Rednock Swing Band providing entertainment.
The first display will be a quieter one with the second, at 6.40pm, building up to a grand finale.
Tickets are already available to purchase online and are cheaper than buying on the gate.
