YATE Shopping Centre is reporting good growth.
The latest figures show that the centre is experiencing an active period, with visitors up 2.6 per cent on last year, bucking the national trend.
Furthermore, there are fewer vacant units compared to three years ago, when there were 26 vacant units. The centre is likely to have only three vacant units over the Christmas period, when the usual pop-up units will be returning.
Mayor of Yate, Councillor John Ford, commenting on the success said: “The Shopping Centre is an important barometer for Yate.
"It is one of the more significant employers in the town and is a major community asset, offering retail, leisure and entertainment facilities. It is in all our interests to ensure that the centre keeps growing to serve the existing and future residents of the town.”
