TODAY will see strong winds across much of the region, as Storm Brian hits the south west.
There may be gales or severe gales in exposed areas.
Sporadic, blustery morning showers will be followed by prolonged spells of rain in the afternoon.
In the south west the Met Office has issued a yellow wind warning for today, which stretches from 4am up until midnight.
Winds are forecast to reach 52 mph through Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire.
