A 24-YEAR-OLD Cam man who assaulted a woman, causing her actual bodily harm, has been given a suspended jail sentence.
David Hunt of St George's Close, Upper Cam, denied assaulting a woman in Cam on August 1 but was found guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on October 30.
The following day he was also found in possession of a quantity of cannabis at Cam, an offence which he admitted.
Magistrates imposed a 23-week prison sentence suspended for two years and ordered him to pay £300 compensation.
Hunt was also ordered to pay £500 prosecution costs.
