YOUNG and old alike lined the streets of Thornbury on Sunday to join the nation in remembering the fallen.

This year's remarkable parade saw the town's scout and girl guide groups, as well as emergency service staff, join the many ex-servicemen and women in marching down the High Street to St Mary's Church for the Remembrance Sunday service.

Almondsbury, Olveston and Charfield also held their own parades, walking through the streets to the villages' war memorials and churches.

Further Remembrance tributes and services also took place across the area, including Falfield and Pilning.
