UPDATE: Police have confirmed that he has now been found.

AN ELDERLY Bristol Rovers fan has been reported missing after failing to meet up with his son-in-law after today's game.

James Taylor - known as Jim - from Frampton Cotterell travelled with his son-in-law to watch this afternoon's Bristol Rovers game but did not meet up at a pub after the game as they have done for the past six years.

The 82-year-old and his son-in-law sit in separate seats at the stadium but always meet up after the match at the Wellington pub however Jim failed to turn up today which police say is "out of character".

Concern is growing for Jim and a search is ongoing in a bid to find him.

Bristol Rovers staff have carried out a thorough search of the stadium and police are urging people to look out for him.

Jim is a white man, 5ft 11inches tall who has grey hair and speaks with a Yorkshire accent.

He is wearing a long dark coat, brown trousers and a Bristol Rovers bobble hat.

Police say that recently Jim has been a little depressed and becomes withdrawn and won’t speak to people.

Jim or anyone spotting him is asked to to call police on 101, quoting 5218014782.
