A YATE-based recruitment company is supporting Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) as its charity of the year, with lots of events planned throughout 2018.

Clever HR’s fundraising plans include taking part in CHSW’s £50 Challenge, whereby employees have to use all their business acumen to grow an initial investment of £50.

They will also be organising a dog walk for colleagues and friends at CHSW’s Charlton Farm hospice, in North Somerset, in March.

In June, members of the company will be taking over CHSW’s Yate shop, in East Walk, and hoping to increase sales.

Later in the year, they’ll be putting their bodies on the line and getting muddy at the Winter Monster Race, followed by a more sedate and family-friendly run around Bristol as they take part in CHSW’s Santas on the Run.

CHSW’s Charlton Farm is the only facility of its kind in the region to offer short stays for families whose children have been diagnosed with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

It currently supports over 200 families from South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath, West Wiltshire and Somerset offering respite, palliative, end of live and bereavement care.

James Rendell, Clever HR’s managing director, said: "We are thrilled to be supporting Children’s Hospice South West.

"The service provided to families across the South West is remarkable and we look forward to taking part in a number of fundraisers throughout the year."
