THREE people have appeared in court over charges of animal cruelty at a farm in Olveston.
Susan Smith, 60, and Georgina Blizzard-Smith, 21, both of Ingst Hill, Olveston and Mark Downes, 50, of New Passage, Pilning, appeared before Bristol Magistrates’ Court on April 25.
Each of the three faced multiple charges, including causing unnecessary suffering and failing to provide an adequate diet or suitable environment to animals including goats, cows, horses and sheep.
Smith, Blizzard-Smith and Downes denied all the charges and were remanded on unconditional bail, with the trial to continue at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 4.
