RESIDENTS across South Gloucestershire are being called on to join the celebrations for the NHS’s 70th birthday by hosting their own tea party.

As part of the birthday festivities this year, Big 7Tea parties are being thrown across the country, with the Southmead Hospital Charity are appealing to residents to host their own party to help raise money.

“If you enjoy a good cuppa, then why not get together with friends, colleagues at work, or fellow members of your club and host a Big 7tea.” Says Adrian Brown, Southmead Hospital Charity’s community fundraising manager.

“Hosting a tea party is a very fitting way to celebrate a milestone birthday for the NHS, one of our national treasures, and we’d love as many people as possible to organise their own and raise money for us. Let us know if you’re planning a party – we’d love to hear about it.”

All the money raised by Big 7Teas will go towards the various departments within Southmead Hospital to help buy new equipment, fund research, and support improvements to the environment .
