It is splendid to see that Kingswood`s much neglected “Dinneywicks” is soon to re-open but what hypocrisy for the previous owner, Wadworth, to say that it wanted “live-in tenants.”
The accommodation had been appalling, not just for years, but decades, utterly neglected by the brewery. What tenant would want to live there?
The inevitable result was the pub`s steady decline in trade until its final sale.
Thankfully, it now has a brave and enlightened new owner, Ann, plus talented tenants in Aggie and Guiseppe.
Kingswoodians are delighted and grateful that their pub is brewery and pubco. free.
“The Dinney” will undoubtedly thrive.
